Why Combining Injectables Gives The Most Natural Results

Injectables such as dermal fillers and Botox have revolutionized cosmetic skin care, providing safe and effective results that once required invasive and expensive procedures.

At our skin rejuvenation clinic in Hove, we provide a range of injectables that can work together to enhance your natural beauty, without looking artificial or overdone.

Furthermore, these treatments are suitable for a wide range of skin types, and have minimal discomfort or downtime. Here’s a look at how injectables can be combined to subtly combat the signs of aging and provide a more refreshed and youthful look.

What are the benefits of combining injectables?

While injectables deliver very effective results when used individually, they have different functions. If you are seeking to address multiple issues such as loss of volume, wrinkles and fine lines, uneven skin texture, a sagging jawline, and dryness, then combining treatments will help you to maximise the effect.

The role of different injectables

Botox

Botox, sometimes called anti-wrinkle injections, is perhaps the most well known injectable. It works by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from nerves that cause the muscles to contract, which is the cause of facial wrinkles such as frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles. It results in a smoother and more relaxed looking appearance.

Botox was originally developed as a medical treatment. It can be used to address muscle spasms and treat migraines, and was first approved for cosmetic use in 2002. It can also be used to treat excessive sweating of the underarms or hands. One treatment takes one to two weeks to take effect, and lasts for around three to four months.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers involve the injection of a gel-like substance (often containing hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance that helps the skin to hold water) into the face, lips, neck, or hands. Fillers help to restore lost volume to areas such as the cheeks and lips, while subtly sculpting the jawline and smoothing out folds and lines in the skin.

The aim is to enhance those features that help our face to look balanced and youthful, without dramatically altering the facial proportions or natural harmony of the face.

Combining Botox and fillers

It’s possible to have Botox and dermal filler treatments done at the same time. This is a popular choice, because Botox will smooth out the dynamic wrinkles caused by facial movements such as frowning and smiling, while fillers will soften out the static wrinkles caused by ageing or sun damage. Fillers also restore lost volume and define the jawline.

When used in combination with each other, fillers and Botox comprehensively address the signs of ageing and create a more balanced and natural looking result. It also means that you will only need to find the time for one appointment, and the recovery period will happen simultaneously, minimising downtime.

Other injectables to combine

Some injectables, such as Profhilo and skin boosters, are designed to deliver an intense boost of hydration to the skin to improve skin tone and firmness. For the ultimate spring refresher, you may wish to have these treatments together.
