For many ladies, putting on weight can be a fact of life but also somewhat distressing. You might want to look wonderfully in trim, but somehow the pounds won’t come off, the food temptations remain and the cellulite is something you really wouldn’t want to look at.

Of course, it is important to be kind to yourself; there is nothing to be gained by having a negative body image and going too far down that road can often be the route to poor mental health and even eating disorders.

Besides that, often looking out of shape is something you really should not blame yourself for. A prime example is if you have recently given birth. Pregnancy will have pushed your body out of shape and it is commonplace for women to take several months at least to get back to anything like their pre-maternity figures. Sometimes it is even harder.

Whatever the cause, the fact is you may be looking at yourself in the mirror and deciding you really do need to do something about your figure. Of course, good diet and exercise are the first thing to focus on, but even then sometimes you need something extra.

Attention was drawn to this topic by the recent decision of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) to approve a new weight loss drug called semaglutide. But this is just for adults with a high body mass index and at least one comorbidity, such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease. And even this would only be given as part of a diet and fitness programme.

However, there are other treatments you could use that would help even after you have put in all the hard yards on the treadmill or cut a range of fattening things out of your diet. Getting fat dissolving injections in Brighton is one of them.

This is precisely not designed to clear away all the excess fat that may have built up and could be removed by diet and exercise; it is for those awkward, persistent pockets of fat that just won’t go away, no matter how many low-fat meals you eat and how hard you pound the treadmill.

These pockets can be in different places: belly, thighs, upper arms, buttocks and even your face. But the injections will dissolve away the fat, removing unsightly bumps.

Often even the fittest of women will find they still have issues with cellulite or other areas of excess fat, and be left wondering how on earth it could be. If this is you, you might find you need wonder no longer, for this persistent fat can be sent packing.

The method uses a substance called sodium deoxycholate, which helps break down fat cells. Your body will then do the rest of getting the fat out of your system. It will not happen overnight and requires three or four treatments, each six weeks apart, but over time you will see a noticeable difference.

Fat can be very awkward at times, but those tricky last bits that cling on can be given their marching orders with this treatment.
