Acne Treatment

We understand how important it is for you to get ready for the day without agonising over your appearance. Acne can really knock your confidence and it’s frustrating when none of the expensive creams you’ve bought seem to be working. Here’s how we can help.

How To Heal Acne Scars

There are different types of acne scars, so we’ll need to assess your skin during the consultation before choosing the right treatment for you.

  • Ice pick scars – small, deep holes on the surface of the skin, appearing as though the skin has been punctured with a sharp object.
  • Rolling scars – caused by bands of scar tissue that form under the surface of the skin, giving the surface a rolling and uneven appearance.
  • Boxcar scars – round or oval depressions, or craters, in the skin.

Not all acne results in scarring. Whether your acne is mild, moderate, or severe, we can provide a professional treatment to get your skin to a place you’re happy with. However, there are times where we may need to recommend clients with severe cases to a dermatologist for a course of prescription medicine.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation

Similar to laser treatments, IPL Skin Rejuvenation light therapy uses pulses of light to destroy any unwanted pigments. It’s really effective at killing the bacteria underneath the skin that causes acne and helps with inflammation too. Once we have treated your acne and inflammation with IPL, a chemical peel, or a combination of both, we can then treat any scarring with Dermapen.

Chemical Peels For Acne

Our chemical peels are used to treat mild to moderately severe acne. We exfoliate the skin with a glycolic or salicylic acid, which reduces the appearance of open pores, blemishes, acne, and pigmentation. This safe and effective treatment creates new skin cells to reveal fresher and clearer skin beneath the surface, giving you smoother, softer skin.

Maskne: Treating Acne Caused By Face Masks

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the increase of face mask wearing, many people are experiencing acne for the first time. Some professions require you to wear a mask for long periods of time, leaving no room for your skin to breathe and causing a blockage in your pores. We can help clear the breakout around your mouth with our maskne treatments, leaving your skin feeling fresh, clear, and rejuvenated.
