How does Secret RF microneedling work?
The treatment uses 64 gold-plated microneedles to direct the energy to where it’s needed in the skin, bypassing the surface to prevent thermal damage while improving the overall appearance of the skin by encouraging collagen and elastin production from below.
What’s the difference between Secret RF and microneedling?
While there are similarities between the two treatments, Secret RF is the more powerful option, using radiofrequency heat alongside the use of microneedles to drive even more collagen and elastin production. Multiple treatments are necessary for both procedures, but you will likely see faster and better results with Secret RF.
What happens during Secret RF treatments?
Numbing cream can be applied to the treatment area to reduce any potential discomfort you might experience. You will likely feel a hot sensation and some pressure as your clinician works. If you feel pain at any point (highly unlikely), make sure you let your clinician know.
How long do Secret RF results last?
It’s recommended that you go for three or four sessions of Secret RF to see optimal results and you should see the effects after your second session, with the full effect noticeable after your final treatment. Results are long-lasting and should continue to be visible for 12 to 18 months, after which you may want to go for a maintenance treatment.
Are there any side-effects to Secret RF?
As with any procedure, there is the chance of side-effects with Secret RF but these are usually mild and should resolve themselves within a couple of days. You may experience redness, swelling, skin peeling, dryness or tightness and changes in pigmentation.
