What exactly are exosomes?
In simple terms, exosomes are microscopic vesicles that act as the postal service between your cells. They carry vital information, like proteins and growth factors, that tells other cells how to behave. In this treatment, they’re used to signal your skin cells to ramp up their repair and regeneration functions, leading to healthier, more youthful skin.

How many sessions will I need?
While a single session can certainly give your skin a beautiful boost, a series of 3-4 treatments, spaced about four weeks apart, is often recommended for the most significant and lasting results. We can create a personalised plan based on your specific skin goals during your consultation.

Is there any downtime?
Downtime is minimal. You can expect some redness and mild sensitivity for a day or two after the treatment, much like a light sunburn. You can return to your normal daily activities right away, but it’s best to avoid makeup and heavy exercise for the first 24-48 hours.

When will I see results?
You may notice an immediate glow and improved hydration within the first week. However, the real magic happens over the next several weeks as the exosomes stimulate collagen and elastin production. You’ll see continued improvement in skin texture, firmness, and overall radiance for months to come.

  • For a few days before your appointment, take a break from skincare products containing active ingredients like retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin), alpha-hydroxy acids (glycolic acid), and beta-hydroxy acids (salicylic acid).
  • Steer clear of direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least a week prior to your treatment.
  • Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session to ensure your skin is well-hydrated.
  • Come to your appointment without any makeup, lotions, or oils on the treatment area.
  • Do not use topical agents that may increase sensitivity of skin: retinoids, topical antibiotics, exfoliants, acids that may be drying or irritating to the skin (such as alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) beta hydroxyl acids (BHA), exfoliating masks, salicylic acids, hydroquinone, and benzoyl peroxide acne products) 5-7 days prior.
  • Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications for 3 days prior to treatment. These agents will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical and responsible for your skin rejuvenation
  • Avoidance of IPL/Laser procedures, unprotected sun exposure or sunburn for 2 weeks prior.
  • No waxing, depilatory creams or electrolysis to area being treated 5 days prior.
  • Please let your practitioner know if you are prone to cold sore outbreaks.
  • Avoid blood thinning agents for 1 week prior. May resume day after treatment.

It’s important you continue to show your skin some love following your treatment at Grand Aesthetics to get the best results. You’ll be prescribed a bespoke course of treatments and home care products to take with you, all of which will be explained in detail. Make sure you’re following the recommended routine between each of your appointments at our clinic to enhance the effects of your aesthetic treatments.

  • Patients are advised to avoid the sun and apply sunscreen regularly during the healing process.
  • For the first 48-72 hours, cleanse your skin with a mild, gentle cleanser and lukewarm water.
  • Avoid touching, picking, or scratching the treated area.
  • Hold off on strenuous exercise, saunas, and swimming for 48 hours to prevent irritation from sweat and bacteria.
  • Do not expose yourself to the sun. This include tanning beds and also fake tan, for at least 1 week post treatment.
  • Do not use any “active ingredient” skin products for 3 days after treatment.
  • Avoid the use of makeup for 24 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid sweating, No exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment.
  • Use gentle products for 3 days after treatment.
