Profhilo Injectable Skin Boosters

Give your skin a boost with a fresh, natural complexion from Profhilo. These injectable boosters awaken your cells to replenish, revive, and rejuvenate.

Profhilo Injectable Skin Boosters

The Profhilo skin booster uses hyaluronic acid to improve the appearance of the skin on your face, neck, décolletage, and hands. They provide astonishing results as they work from the inside out, hydrating the surface below the skin. The treatment works so well because hyaluronic acid is a moisturising factor naturally found in skin, muscle, and joints. It’s a powerful source that can draw 1000 times its own weight in water into the skin, making it ideal for binding and retaining water molecules.

Once you’ve made your initial enquiry with us, we’ll book you in for a skin consultation at our clinic in Hove. This professional analysis takes around 30 minutes and will give us a better idea of whether or not Profhilo skin boosters are right for you and your skin concerns.

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is a stabilised injectable hyaluronic acid which helps to treat skin laxity. Profhilo offers one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid on the market. HA is responsible for hydrated and youthful skin and is drastically depleted from the skin over time. The hyaluronic acid will boost and hydrate the skin as well as remodel the ageing tissue which occurs during the natural ageing process

What Does Profhilo Do?

Profhilo skin boosters stimulate new collagen production and increase elasticity that may have been affected by age or environmental factors. They help improve the appearance of fine lines and encourage the skin to glow from within, leaving you looking fresh, hydrated, and radiant.

How Do Injectable Moisturisers Differ From Traditional Fillers?

Though both injectable moisturisers and traditional fillers both use hyaluronic acid, the hyaluronic acid used in the Profhilo skin booster has a more free-flowing texture to treat trickier areas like the hands, neck, and décolletage. The gel formula makes it easy to distribute the moisturiser across the face more evenly, improving skin hydration and cell function from within.

How is Profhilo administered?

Only 5 injections points are necessary on each side of the face to give maximum results.

Profhilo acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. It is injected just under the surface of the skin, where is disperses quickly and reacts with your own tissues to instantly boost hydration. Over the following 4 weeks, phase 2 will boost collagen and elastin production within the dermis. This helps to give the skin a youthful, plump, smooth and firm appearance

How many treatments do I need?

Profhilo works in a course of 2 treatments, 4weeks apart. We may then recommend top-up and maintenance sessions, depending on your body’s response to the initial treatment.

Does Profhilo have any side effects?

The risk of side effects after profhilo is low but you may experience mild redness, pain, itching, discolouration or tenderness at the injection sites, but they will quickly fade.

  • To minimise the risk of bruising – Avoid blood thinning and anti-inflammatory medication such as but not limited to Aspirin, Voltarol Ibuprofen for a week before the procedure.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24hrs prior to your treatment. – Make sure you discuss with your Doctor/ Nurse any bleeding tendencies and current medications being used.
  • Drink water and keep your body hydrated.
  • You may take paracetamol half an hour before the procedure.
  • If necessary, to minimise discomfort, topical anaesthetic cream may be applied 10 minutes before treatment, please discuss this with your practitioner.

It’s important you continue to show your skin some love following your treatment at Grand Aesthetics to get the best results. You’ll be prescribed a bespoke course of treatments and home care products to take with you, all of which will be explained in detail. Make sure you’re following the recommended routine between each of your appointments at our clinic to enhance the effects of your aesthetic treatments.

  • Although the treatment is well tolerated by most patients, you may take paracetamol for any discomfort. It is advised to NOT take blood thinning and anti-inflammatory medication such as but not limited to Aspirin, Voltarol Ibuprofen for 24 hours after treatment.
  • Immediately after the treatment there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal following injection. The discomfort is temporary and generally resolves within a day or two. If it continues or if other reactions occur, please contact our clinic.
  • Do not use any lotions, creams, or make-up (Mineral make-up may be applied immediately following the procedure) for at least 6 hours after your treatment.

  • Do NOT Rub or Massage the area as Profhilo leaves no lumps and bumps due to its consistency and high spreadability.
  • If you have previously suffered from Facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle puncture could contribute to another eruption of cold sore. To prevent this, antiviral treatment prescribed by your doctor might have to be taken from the day before treatment until a week after the treatment.
  • For optimum results, two treatments are recommended with a four-week interval. Some patients may notice changes in their skin within the first week, however optimum result is expected around 4 weeks after the second treatment.
  • Profhilo can be repeated twice a year to maintain the results.
