Treatment
The Profhilo skin booster uses hyaluronic acid to improve the appearance of the skin on your face, neck, décolletage, and hands. They provide astonishing results as they work from the inside out, hydrating the surface below the skin. The treatment works so well because hyaluronic acid is a moisturising factor naturally found in skin, muscle, and joints. It’s a powerful source that can draw 1000 times its own weight in water into the skin, making it ideal for binding and retaining water molecules.
Once you’ve made your initial enquiry with us, we’ll book you in for a skin consultation at our clinic in Hove. This professional analysis takes around 30 minutes and will give us a better idea of whether or not Profhilo skin boosters are right for you and your skin concerns.
What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a stabilised injectable hyaluronic acid which helps to treat skin laxity. Profhilo offers one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic Acid on the market. HA is responsible for hydrated and youthful skin and is drastically depleted from the skin over time. The hyaluronic acid will boost and hydrate the skin as well as remodel the ageing tissue which occurs during the natural ageing process
What Does Profhilo Do?
Profhilo skin boosters stimulate new collagen production and increase elasticity that may have been affected by age or environmental factors. They help improve the appearance of fine lines and encourage the skin to glow from within, leaving you looking fresh, hydrated, and radiant.
How Do Injectable Moisturisers Differ From Traditional Fillers?
Though both injectable moisturisers and traditional fillers both use hyaluronic acid, the hyaluronic acid used in the Profhilo skin booster has a more free-flowing texture to treat trickier areas like the hands, neck, and décolletage. The gel formula makes it easy to distribute the moisturiser across the face more evenly, improving skin hydration and cell function from within.
How is Profhilo administered?
Only 5 injections points are necessary on each side of the face to give maximum results.
Profhilo acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. It is injected just under the surface of the skin, where is disperses quickly and reacts with your own tissues to instantly boost hydration. Over the following 4 weeks, phase 2 will boost collagen and elastin production within the dermis. This helps to give the skin a youthful, plump, smooth and firm appearance
How many treatments do I need?
Profhilo works in a course of 2 treatments, 4weeks apart. We may then recommend top-up and maintenance sessions, depending on your body’s response to the initial treatment.
Does Profhilo have any side effects?
The risk of side effects after profhilo is low but you may experience mild redness, pain, itching, discolouration or tenderness at the injection sites, but they will quickly fade.
